We are delighted to invite you to join this Open Space workshop – a unique workshop format and process that enables participants to discuss and explore a range of burning questions and topics that you and other participants bring to the session.
We’ll be starting with the question of ‘Which single change would transform healthy ageing?' to help shape the event – exploring what is needed to make a difference and what we, as individuals, innovators, researchers, service providers, product developers, policymakers, funders, - and more - can do.
From that single question participants will decide which burning questions or topics based around the theme will be discussed in the workshop. So whether you’re passionate about the built environment, innovative product design, influencing national policy, challenging ageism or behaviour change, the format enables you to create, discuss and debate a broad range of key areas of healthy ageing with other members of the Community, and experts in the field.
There are no right or wrong questions or answers, but our joint knowledge and experience can help us explore new solutions and ideas, building upon the work already being done.
Attending this event will:
-
Provide you with the opportunity to focus on what’s important to you and your work
-
Create space to meet and talk with other people working in this arena
-
Enable participants to overcome shared barriers and unlock opportunities
-
Inform future open space sessions and foster collaborations
Secure your place by booking now. You will be able to add your burning questions or topics you would like to discuss (we’ll also invite you to do this later). We will be agreeing the agenda at the onset of the workshop.
The session will be hosted by expert facilitator Jane McDermott – Consultant and Practitioner. Want to find out more about Open Space? This short animation explains how Open Space works (note this workshop will be held online) or download this for more information.
