Exploring resilience in adult daughter and spousal carers of people living with dementia in North West England
Caring for a relative with dementia can be difficult and stressful. What are the factors that support carer resilience? This study finds that, for adult daughters, a strong sense of reciprocity provides motivation, while for spouses a sense of ‘marital duty’ provides a more positive and accepting attitude towards caregiving.
